Haughton Design have proved once again to be the most innovative company in the region winning The Sentinel Business Award for Business Innovation, sponsored by the Business Innovation Centre for the second year running.
2011 saw the company launch 4 core service packages; New Product Development, Product Refresh, Design Rescue & Review and Mechanical Design & Engineering that focused on fulfilling the needs of their clients.
An innovative design visualisation service was also launched which gives clients uncertain, whether to invest in their own ideas, a chance to understand the key features and unique selling points of potential products.
2011 saw Haughton Design submit no less than 15 records of invention for clients, providing them with valuable intellectual property rights, product protection and the chance to be first to market.
Haughton Design managing director David Mills said: "We won this award last year so we never thought we'd get it again this year. We're absolutely over the moon. Last year only four of us came along to the ceremony, but tonight we've brought everyone along and everyone has come up on stage together to pick up the award. It's been great to be able to share it with the whole company. The competition was tough and I must admit I didn't think we'd win, so we're really pleased."
AM Scaffolding Services and Johnson Tiles also made the final frame.
